霜の降りた朝は、’Frosty morning’

英語の特徴ある語形成の１つに、「名詞または動詞」＋「-y」＝形容詞 というパターンがあります。
例えば、
push + -y = pushy
nose + -y = nosy
cheek + -y = cheeky
risk + -y = risky
choose + -y = choosy
gimmick + -y = gimmicky
smoke + -y = smoky
snow + -y = snowy
room + -y =roomy
さて、今日の朝は、全国各地で最低気温がかなり低くなっています。私の家の窓からも、霜が降りて白くなった芝生が見えています。こんな朝は、’frosty morning’ と表現できます。
または、’It was so cold and very frosty this morning.’ と表現しても良いでしょう。

On first look, the meaning of ”product’ which is usually associated with in the context of Japanese EFL classroom is something like 製品 or seihin. However, the other day when I was translating English legal contract into Japanese, it was used in the following manner:
‘…the purchase price shall be the product of the relevant Periodic [...]

「iPS細胞の実用化に向けて」’iPS Cells Towards Materialising Their Practical Use’

2008年１２月１日付の共同通信ニュースによると、「再生医療の切り札とされる人工多能性幹細胞（ｉＰＳ細胞）を開発した京都大の山中伸弥教授が１日、記者会見し、米ハーバード大やカナダのトロント大など、海外の研究機関と実用化に向けた協力や共同研究を検討していることを明らかにした。」と報道されていました。
